It is with great sadness that we have to inform everyone that our Chairman and dear friend, Dr. Agung Darmawansyah, has passed away peacefully on Saturday, 14th April 2012. We will no doubt always miss him and The Electrical Engineering Department of Universitas Brawijaya will never be the same without him. However, we will strive to continue his spirit in this EECCIS 2012 seminar as to honour him. May Allah Almighty reward him accordingly.  

BACKGROUND

To emphasize the strategic role of higher education and reserach institutions, especially to empower human resources who are competent in application and advancement of science and technology nationally, while being able to build and maintain network internationally, the Electrical Engineering Department University of Brawijaya organizes EECCIS 2012.

OBJECTIVES

Following the five previous succesfull seminars EECCIS 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, the objective of EECCIS 2012 is to provide opportunities for researchers, scientists, engineers and vendors working in the area of electrical power, electronics, telecommunication, control and information to exchange their ideas and also to present and discuss latest results and future directions of research and applications.

Topics covered in the EECCIS 2012 are:
• Electrical power
• Electronics
• Telecommunications
• Control System
• Information System
• Educational Issues in Electrical Engineering

Any other topics related to recent development in electrical engineering are always welcome and appreciated.

All presentation will be held in English or Indonesian. The articels accepted for presentation will be published in the EECCIS 2012 Proceedings.
